  • Bobby Scott

    Clinical Director

    Bobby Scott is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Certified Clinical Addictions Professional (CCAP) and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICAADC). He holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Bobby is a licensed minister. He is the Clinical Director of Addiction Campuses of Mississippi. He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Mississippi Association of Addictions Professionals (MAAP).

    Mr. Scott has extensive experience in both the inpatient and outpatient setting treating a wide range of issues including addictions. He has been in private practice since 1999. He was a part of the developmental and treatment team which created one of the first Juvenile Drug Courts in the state of Mississippi in DeSoto County. He also served on the team which developed the DeSoto County Adult Drug Court. He continues to provide treatment for the Juvenile Drug Court. Bobby not only specializes in addictions but has training in (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). DBT is an evidenced based program which is effective in treating substance abuse, depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, eating disorders, anxiety and other affective disorders and personality disorders.

    Allan J. Katz has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Memphis and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He is currently a PRN Therapist at LaPaloma Treatment Center in Memphis, a dual diagnosis rehabilitation residential facility and leads adolescent and adult groups at Addiction Campuses of Mississippi in Southaven, MS and HealthQuest in Cordova, TN.

    Currently he is working toward licensure as an Licensed Professional Counselor and also toward certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist with

    Allan is the author of Addictive Entrepreneurship, a book for hard working people who want to balance their work and personal lives to live a more fulfilling, meaningful life.

    He is a former President of the Direct Marketing Association of Memphis serving as a direct marketing consultant and strategist for over 25 years. He presents seminars, workshops, lectures and groups on sex and love addiction, attitude, teamwork, marital harmony and work/life issues.

    Patient Care Coordinator

    Danielle Johns came to Addiction Campuses of Mississippi with a background of working in schools and at Youth Villages in Bartlett, TN. She recently attended Delta Technical College and is a certified Coding Specialist. She completed her internship at UT Pediatrics. She brings her extensive customer service skills to the front desk of Addiction Campuses of Mississippi as our Patient Care Coordinator, assisting our clients with everything from scheduling with our therapists to questions about their insurance benefits. A native of New York, Danielle has called Southaven home for over 11 years now.

    Alumni/Recovery Support Coordinator

    Michael is the newest member of our team. He graduated from our IOP program in July while recovering from an opiate addiction. Michael is very passionate about helping other opiate addicts recover from addiction and wants to help people understand that life is worth living. He worked as a facility manager for ten years while never battling the underlying issues that come with addiction, such as depression. He is very active in the recovery community and loves doing service work for various recovery programs. He is also the head of the alumni program at ACMS and is extremely close to the clients that come through the IOP program. He’s also an avid outdoorsman and loves playing golf as well as hiking with his dog.

    Recovery Support Counselor

    James received a Technical Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling at Southwest Tennesse Community College in 2006. He has worked the last 6 years with the Shelby County Drug Court Program under the guidance of Judge Tim Dwyer. With years of addiction himself, he brings personal knowledge of the disease of addiction which brings insight and hope to those who think nothing is left but a miserable way of life.

    Luanne Gilbert came to Turning Point after completing her Master of Science degree in Counseling with a concentration in Rehabilitation. Her first career was in the food and beverage industry. Luanne has been an animal lover and rescuer since she was very young, bringing home wayward cats, dogs and birds to share her family’s home.

    Being a therapist at Addiction Campuses of Mississippi keeps her busy but Luanne continues to rescue dogs, cats, raccoons, squirrels, birds, turtles and anything else that needs a helping hand. She shares her home with six rescue kitties, two feral cats outside, a tank of fish, a cranky 35 year-old parrot, and an understanding husband and wonderful son.

    Matt Ellis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive clinical experience as a therapist in treating adult and adolescent clients in the inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient program levels of care for multiple behavioral healthcare organizations and treatment facilities. He graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2002 with a Master of Divinity degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

    Matt has worked for New Life Counseling Centers as an Associate Licensed Counselor offering individual, couples, and family therapy, Communicare, as a mental health therapist providing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and individual and group psychotherapy on an outpatient basis, and as a therapist leading mental health and chemical dependency groups in the Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) of Parkwood and Lakeside Behavioral Health Systems.

    Monica Krulewitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who recently relocated to Memphis from Cherry Hill, NJ. While in New Jersey, Monica worked as a Senior Primary Therapist with inpatient, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient adults struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and substance abuse/dependence. Monica is very excited to be a part of Addiction Campuses of Mississippi where she brings more than 10 years experience in Mental Health and Social Work. Monica earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University, New York, NY and her Bachelor of Arts from West Chester University, West Chester, PA. She is an LCSW licensed in TN, MS, and NJ.

    Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry

    Dr. King has taught at the high school, college and medical school levels and has trained psychiatric residents. He has practiced medicine in Tennessee and Mississippi for over 30 years.

    In 1988, Dr. King authored, “Sex, Drugs, Rock-n-Roll: Healing Today’s Troubled Youth.” He has testified on adolescent issues at a U.S. Senate Subcommittee Hearing in 1996 and worked together with Tipper Gore, wife of former Vice-President Al Gore, on community issues involving our youth. He has appeared on numerous network television shows, including The Today Show and CNN News.

    Dr. King also serves as the Medical Director for the CME Institute of Physicians Postgraduate Press, which enhances the education of practicing psychiatrists. Dr. King has a strong and long standing reputation as a caring and knowledgeable professional in the medical community.
